Nitnem is the set of banis recited daily, and this app exists to make keeping that routine straightforward rather than to be a scripture library.
It carries the daily banis in their order — Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav-Prasad Savaiye, Chaupai Sahib and Anand Sahib in the morning, Rehras Sahib in the evening, and Kirtan Sohila before sleep — each available as text and as audio.
Reciting along with the audio is the usual way this is used, and it is also how the banis are learned: hearing correct pronunciation while following the Gurmukhi is more effective than either alone.
Kirtan recordings sit alongside the banis, along with the daily Hukamnama.
Text is shown in Gurmukhi with transliteration and translation, so someone still learning the script can follow, and everything works offline once downloaded — necessary for something recited at fixed times rather than when a connection allows.
Free on Android.
The app collects the daily Nitnem banis with audio and kirtan recordings, presented in their traditional order.
